Helm includes support for both aliases and a domain catchall.
Aliases
Helm allows an unlimited number of aliases. There are two types of aliases that can be created.
Aliases
Aliases can only be added by the admin account and can be added to any email address for any user on any email domain. Aliases cannot be repeated across users. For example, jane@mydomain.io and john@mydomain.io cannot both have hulu@mydomain.io as an alias.
- To add an alias for your own email address as an admin, go to Menu > Email > Select email address > Add an email alias...
- To add an alias for a managed user, go to Menu > User Management > Select user > Email, Calendar and Contacts > Select email address > Add an email alias...
Dynamic Aliases
No configuration is required for this style of aliasing. Any user who wants to use this style of aliases can simply add a "+word" to an existing email address to create an alias for it. For example, jane@mydomain.io can add "+netflix" to make jane+netflix@mydomain.io.
Catchall (Admin account only)
When enabled, the domain catchall ensures that any emails sent to your domain (@example-domain.net) will be delivered to the admin email account. This does not include emails sent to other users on your Helm. For example, if your admin email is "boss@example-domain.net" and someone tries emailing "info@example-domain.net," the catchall would deliver that email to your account.
To enable this, go to Menu > Services > Email, Calendar and Contacts > Catch-All.
