As the administrator of your Helm, you can reset your account password safely and securely at any time.
There are two ways of resetting your admin password using the Helm app. Resetting your password via app installation (or reinstallation) requires physical proximity and access to the Helm Personal Server.
- When your Helm app is already configured on your phone: If you have already set up your Helm with your phone and wish to reset the password, go to Settings > Account and tap the "Reset Password" option from the "Your Account" section of the screen. You will be able to type in a new password and reset it from there. Simple!
- When installing (or reinstalling) the Helm app: Launch the Helm app. After the 'Let's Get Started' screen, you will be prompted to pair your smartphone with your Helm Personal Server. Follow the on-screen instructions to do so. Once paired, select "Reset Password" from the bottom of the "Log in to Your Account" screen. You will need your USB Recovery Key in order to continue resetting your password. Insert it and enter your new password on the "Reset Password" screen. After completing the reset, your Helm Personal Server will refresh the security key on your USB stick. Once finished, you may continue with setup.
